Tick — coming soon

Triage your QBO For Review queue across all your clients.

A Chrome extension for multi-client QuickBooks Online bookkeepers. Tick learns each client's rules, routes the queue by confidence, and gets out of your way.

$19/month flat — for as many clients as you have.

If you manage 5+ QBO clients, you know this loop.

Open the first client's books. Forty-three transactions in For Review. Most are obvious. Some need a quick judgment call. A few you set aside to ask the client about. Forty-five minutes later you've cleared maybe fifteen, you switch to the next client, and the queue you started has already grown by Wednesday.

QBO doesn't help much. Bank Rules cap at 1,000 per company file and don't transfer between clients. Its AI suggestions are anchored to whichever single QBO company you're looking at. The multi-client part is on you.

How Tick works

01

Connect your clients

One Tick subscription, all your QBO clients. Connect each one in a single OAuth click; Tick reads the chart of accounts and recent history.

02

Tick learns each client's rules

"AMZN Mktp" is Office Supplies for the marketing agency, COGS for the reseller, Job Materials for the contractor. Tick remembers per client — automatically, from your prior categorizations.

03

Triage by confidence

Bulk-accept the obvious ones in a single click. Review the ambiguous ones with the model's reasoning right there. Spend your judgment on the cases that need it.

Per-client memory is the architecture

Most categorization tools — including QBO's own AI — are anchored to one company. They learn how that single business categorizes transactions and apply patterns there. For a bookkeeper managing fifteen clients, that's fifteen separate AI silos, none of which know what's going on in the others.

Tick's rules are scoped per client and never bleed across. The same merchant maps to different categories for different clients because Tick remembers different things for different clients. It's how a thoughtful bookkeeper would build their own internal workflow if they had unlimited time.

Pricing

$19 per month. Flat. No per-client billing, no tier games, no add-ons. 14-day free trial; cancel anytime from the app.

We send transaction descriptions and amounts to Anthropic's Claude API for categorization. Anthropic does not train models on data submitted via the API.

Questions

When is Tick launching?
In the next few weeks. We're in private beta now and finalizing the Chrome Web Store listing. Join the waitlist above and we'll email you the day it goes live.
Does Tick replace bookkeeper judgment?
No. Tick speeds up categorization but stays in your hands — you accept, override, or correct every suggestion. The bookkeeper's name is on the books.
What QBO data does Tick read?
Each client's chart of accounts, prior categorized transactions (for learning rules), and the For Review queue. Tick writes only categorizations. No payroll, no payments, no other data — it's the most-restricted scope Intuit's API offers for a tool of this kind.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
We retain it in soft-deleted state for 30 days in case you reactivate, then hard-delete all rules, transaction history, and category mappings. Your QBO connection is severed at the moment you cancel.
Does Tick work with Xero?
QBO Online only at MVP. Other platforms aren't on the immediate roadmap; we'd rather get the QBO experience right first.
Mobile or tablet?
Desktop Chrome only at launch. Tick is a browser extension and QBO Online is a desktop workflow.
Who's behind this?
Tick is a product of Springhead, a small company building tools for accounting and bookkeeping professionals.
